The properties were originally a row of 5 guest houses owned by a consortium of family members, who were descendants of the property builders. Over the years the external appearance of the properties has deteriorated as the properties fell out of use, and Blackpool Council’s housing enforcement department have had cause for concern.
The acquisition of a terrace of interlinked properties gives Blackpool Housing Company opportunity to use creative design inputs with an expectation of providing high quality residential properties for tenants. It is our intention to convert the properties for rental purposes as 13 apartments, including five larger 3 bedroom maisonettes spread over two floors. These units will provide up to 150m2 of accommodation, including private gardens, and provide warm and safe homes.
